Virginia Trichel, 85, of Black Lake passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015 in Natchitoches. She was born Nov. 10, 1930. Virginia was a faithful member of the Campti United Pentecostal Church. She is preceded in death by her spouse, L.Z. Trichel; parents, Lonnie and Eolian Davis of Shreveport, and sister Luella Jones of Powell Point, NC. She is survived by one sister Elizabeth Jackson of  Heflin. Virginia was blessed with six children: Linda Ramsey of Pascagoula, Miss.; Brenda Dance of Minden; L.Z. Trichel Jr. and his wife Jan of Black Lake; Glenda Martin of Conroe, Texas; Mary McCormack of Phoenix, Az.; and Ottis Trichel and his wife Tracie of Natchitoches. She had 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Virginia loved the Word of God. With every spare penny, she bought devotional books. She loved hearing the Word of God taught and enjoyed reading God’s Word daily. She would read bible stories to her children nightly. Her life had been forever changed at an old fashioned tent revival held on Black Lake. She was filled with God’s spirit; the baptism of the Holy Ghost and baptized in the wonderful name of JESUS! She had a bulldog grip on the truth and held to it unwaveringly. She worshipped God with all her heart and attended church faithfully. The family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 12 at noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at the Campti United Pentecostal Church. Interment will be at Pardee Cemetery in Campti. Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 West Fourth Street, Dequincy, Louisiana.
