
Albert Riegel, 91, passed away Dec. 1. He was born Nov. 18, 1924 in Longmont, Colo. to Sophie and Jacob Riegel. He received his education from Colorado State University. He also served as a Marine in WWII and 4 years in the pacific. He was also a member of Gideons international of Natchitoches. He was very passionate about the Boy Scouts of America where he served as an executive and retired after 28 years of service in 1987. Albert was an outgoing, generous man. He was passionate about scouting and also a craftsman. He was very talented. Albert leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years Essie Mae Little Riegel and one daughter, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson. The services will be held at St. Maurice United Methodist Church in St. Maurice Sunday, Dec. 6. Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and the burial will follow the service at Couley Methodist Church on Hwy. 84.
