Dec. 23, 1929 - Feb. 7, 2016 Lura Bell McClendon Lynn was born Dec. 23, 1929 anddied peacefully Feb. 7, 2016 after a long illness. Her last days were filled with love, surrounded by friends and family. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Lester, and her parents, Hazel and Carl McClendon. She is survived by her children Richard Lynn, Barbara Lynn Gest, and Meatta Swalley; her grandchildren Shelby Lynn and Royce Paul Gest; and great-grandchild Marie Gest. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 11 from 5-8 p.m. at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. at Forest Park located at 12800 Westheimer, Houston, TX 77077.
