Mr. DeWayne Jeffery “D.J.” Lambert Sr., 26, of Montgomery passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017. Born Sunday, Dec. 9, 1990, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, he was employed in the logging industry with JKM Logging. “D.J.” will be remembered as a loving son, husband, daddy and brother who always had a smile to share. “D.J.” was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Univee Lambert and maternal grandmother, Sharan Knighten. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jennifer Mills Lambert; his children, Ella, Emma and DeWayne Jr.; parents, Jimmy and Tammy Lambert and Helen Dauzat; grandparents, Donald Lambert, Richard Knighten, David and Barbara Londier, Henry and Carolyn Longino and Purvis and Mildrid Rodrigues; siblings, Grant Martin (Dawn), Nathan Martin (Alison), Bryan Lambert, Ashley Hope (Alan), Ashley LeeAnn (Justin) and Haleigh DuBois (Wesley); and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 13 at Northside Baptist Church in Montgomery with the Rev. Donald Givens officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Montgomery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday, April 12 from 5-9 p.m. and again Thursday, April 13 from 11 a.m. until time of services. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Grant Martin, Nathan Martin, Kade Kuhlman, Preston Wilson, Derek Lambert, Logan Lambert, Corey Perkins and William Dunn.
