Nov. 16, 1953 – Dec. 7, 2016 Sandra Jean Franks (Jeannie) of Fairview Alpha went to be with her Lord and Savior Dec. 7, 2016 at the age of 63. She was born on Nov. 16, 1953 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph N. Gallien Jr. of Campti. Jeannie is preceded in death by her sisters, Elaine G. Bostick, Patsy G. Gullo, Marie G. Barton, Linda G. Ropplo and brother, Joseph L. Gallien. She is survived by her husband, Gene Russell Franks; her children, Joshua Keith Franks and his wife Shelly Dubois Franks and Lucas Alan Franks and his wife Bridget Jones Franks; grandchildren, Gavin and Connor Franks; sisters, Beth G. Gilcrease, Celeste G. Bryant and Suzanne G. Coble; and brothers, Jimmy Gallien, Jerry Gallien and David Gallien. She retired from Lakeview High School in Campti where she touched the hearts and lives of many as a Special Education and Physical Education teacher. She enjoyed traveling with her family and after retirement, found a love for making hand stitched quilts. Jeannie’s passion was her family. Her love for them was shown in everything she did. To celebrate the life of this special soul, a service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12 at The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Campti. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
