Funeral services for Joseph G. Musselwhite were held Saturday, March 5 at Blanchard- St. Denis Funeral Home, with George Holland officiating. Interment followed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in the Trichel Community. The family received friends from 5-9 p.m. March 4 at the funeral home. Joseph Musselwhite, 79, of the Trichel Community passed away March 2, 2016. He was born Aug. 13, 1936 in Alexandria. He was a kind-hearted and fun-loving man that never missed a chance to tell or pull a good joke. He loved and served his country, spending six years of service in the United States Marine Corps, and as the saying goes, he was always faithful. He was faithful to his country, his wife of many years, and his church, Lakeside Baptist. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by two sisters, Jean Davis and her husband Jimmy of Carthage, Texas and Liz Quinten and her husband Bobby of McKinney, Texas; one brother, William D. Musselwhite and his wife Donna of Trichel Community; a host of nieces and nephews; his two cats, Wart and Bubba; and his dog, Michael Jackson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Lynne Musselwhite; his parents, Daniel P Musselwhite and Edna Laura Trichel Musselwhite; three sisters, Dannie Pearl Musselwhite, Millecent Musselwhite, and Ida Mae Musselwhite; and one brother, Robert Musselwhite, Sr. Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Mark Swafford, Joey Musselwhite, Wayne Musselwhite, Robert Musselwhite Jr., Daniel Davis and Doug Davis. Honorary pallbearers were Curtis Massingill, Mike Murphy, William Ravin Musselwhite, Patrick Quentin, and Daniel Musselwhite.
